What is the world coming too?
So tonight I went to church because I teach a young mens junior high youth group there on Wednesday nights. And it is dumb since I really hate teaching this youth class but I have to because of the promise I made to pastor Chet. One time on a sunday pastor Chet took me aside because he thought I looked nervous in church and the whole big talk we had ended in me promising to teach a youthes class and if I stop now pastor Chet will probably just yell at me for rinegging on my promise and I would feel really humiliated and bad.So anyway I was there in the gymnaeseum where the class is at and I was just talking to the youthes class about deuteronomy (that is one of my favorite O.T. books) and then one of the young men asked me about the story of Onan and so I turned the page to it. I really never liked the story of Onan because it is all about what happens to people and God was probably so mad at him and I bet Onan felt really bad after what happened. But I started talking about Onan and what happened to him and how is ass (which is a bible word that means a type of horse) just started talking to him. Then one of the young men asked me if my ass ever said any thing to me. I told him no it did not and I don’t even own a horse like he had but then the young men just all started to laugh hard. And I realized they were making fun of me and I got really ashamed and felt like I was as small as the dot at the end of this sentance. It seems like this always happens to me at this youth groups, like they are always just trying to find a way to laugh at my expense or play mean jokes on me sort of like Roger but at least his jokes are pretty funny and make me laugh. Like last week when I was walking in the gymnaeseum one of the kids named Pete came walking to me and just told me to pull his finger and so I did and they all laughed and told me about how my face was beet red. And the time they just put a open piece of oreo on my bible pages and got them all totally messy with oreo filling while I was up getting a cup of juice.I do not know what is wrong with these young men but they are really mean at heart and just love to play a joke on people which is not nice. I decided that next time at the class I will tell them the story of when some young men got eaten by large bears for making fun of Elisha (God’s praphet) but I think they will just laugh at that too and I will feel totally embarrased again. GOD!!
